Infenro and Project NoName

bit-tech forumite Infenro (no, we didn't spell that wrong) brought along his modded rig. It sports a hazardous theme, and isn't actually christened with a project name yet. However, with mods ongoing, there's plenty of opportunity for that, we think.

The system itself is powered by a Athlon 64 3400+, a 6800 GT, a 74GB Raptor and 1GB of OCZ memory.

The base case is a no-name £25 job from a local computer shop. It's been painted with black and yellow Halfords car spray, over a base coat of primer. To get the dirty, musty look, primer was also applied over the top of the black and the yellow was blended into the black carefully. The DVD drive mod is suitably nasty - and in a Mac-esque twist, you can only eject it by right-clicking the drive in Windows.

Personally, my favourite part of the case is the military-style switch - it's impossible to have too many of those. The man himself takes great pride in his creation. What's next? "Well, there's plenty more to do," he tells us. "I've been slowly re-modelling the whole front with putty. I think I need to fix that up a little more." Regardless of any perceived fascia frills, the whole mod is pretty darned nice.

Gunsmith and KOS-MOS

You will certainly recognise this case, if you're a regular reader. I didn't realise that accomplished modder, Gunsmith, was part of the Multiplay crew - walking by and spotting Project KOS-MOS was an unexpected treat! If you missed the big bit-tech write-up of , Project KOS-MOS you should definitely have a read.

The case looks fantastic in the flesh - the attention to detail really shows, and the red wiring is even more spectacular. Gunsmith gave us a quick insight into his next massive mod project, which you'll be able to catch on these hallowed pages. "It involves a C3 case, a very complicated design, and some black paint..." was all we could get out of him. Stay tuned!
